Audition Required
Acceptance as a music major or performance minor requires an audition. This can be done in person, allowing you to see our incredible facilities and meet faculty members and current students. If travel is an issue, a prerecorded or virtual audition can be arranged.
What does it take to be an Art, Dance, Music, or Theater Major at Seton Hill? Come find out! You’ll be able to attend classes, tour the Seton Hill Visual and Performing Arts buildings, meet with faculty in your major, and see what current SHU students are doing. Guests will have the opportunity to attend Student Life, Admissions, Financial Aid, and faculty sessions. Auditions and main Campus Tours will be offered at the end of the event. View Poster

Save the Dates for “Head to Heart: Celebrating the Power of Musical Connections”
The Penn State Summer Music Camp (The Honors Music Institute) is one of the most exciting of its kind for talented high school musicians. Now in its ninth year, the Institute is an intensive, week-long immersion in the art of music making for talented high school students. As one of the most exciting summer music camps of 2023, specific areas of study include Chamber Choir (32 students), Jazz Combo (8 or more students), Wind Ensemble (50 students), Music Technology (up to 10 students), Composition (up to 6 students), and Piano (up to 24 students). Students entering 9th grade in the fall of 2023 (current 8th graders) through students who will graduate in the spring of 2023 (current seniors) are eligible to audition.
Penn’s Woods Music Festival (PWMF) offers outstanding chamber music, jazz and orchestral performances by professional musicians. Supported jointly by Penn State and the surrounding community, the festival seeks to inspire a passion for classical music through innovative concert programming, educational activities, and informal events.
The event will be held in Recital Hall, Music Building I
The Keystone Concerto Festival will take place on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Online registration will open on Monday, October 9, and will close on Wednesday, October 20 at 11:59 PM.
